The larger the reel is, the shorter the twist. Each reel size will shorten the twist by about 10 degrees. If your stock throttle has a 40mm reel and stock twist is 90 degrees (1 4 turn), the 45mm reel will reduce the twist

Fit perfectly, but questionably thin.

This was an exact fit for my 2017 Kia Forte S. My only convern is that it is half the width of the stock filters. Hopefully the different material will make the difference over time. Didn't notice a loss or gain of torque or acceleration after swapping for my old dirty filter.

As another reviewer pointed out, the OEM paper filter is almost 3 times thicker than this one. All things equal, thicker would mean for filtering surface area. So with less filter media surface area, the filter would clog up quicker. However, since this is washable, maybe that's a moot point. I also noticed on my Hyundai Tucson, the rim of this filter must be slighter thicker because I had a tougher time clipping the filter box closed with this one installed. I am keeping my OEM for now, just in case.
