Hito SashikoSashiko, or little stabs, is a traditional Japanese technique of functional embroidery that can reinforce the fabric to make it stronger and more hardwearing. This is a soft, looseweave cotton, decorated with a Hitomezashi sashiko style stitch in a cross pattern. The base is broad stripes of shades of real indigo. Made in Japan, 100% cotton, 120cm wide. I bought these to try out, and I was shocked to find they worked out better than my silk pillowcases. I have atopic dermatitis, and I need a pillowcase that doesn't irritate my skin.
